Brrr.... Winter Jewelry

 I have just finished a few new pieces from another nature photo inspiration. These are perfect for those chilly winter days. The earrings have a frosted cracked look and the bracelet holds some light blue beads that appear to be frosted. You can check these out in further detail by visiting my shop here.

Perfect Key Ring For A Card Player!

This was designed for a creative challenge in my Etsy Upcycled Clothing 'N Things team. The challenge required creating something either from a playing card or using the shapes found on them. I decided to go with a decoupaged key ring. It's a simple design but definitely one that is unique! If you'd like to check it out in further detail, it's listed in my shop. Back To Designing!

Wow! It's been a rough month of December! First the rotary cuff tendinitis, then overlapping that I managed to somehow get strep throat! Needless to say, there hasn't been much jewelry making for me this month!

However, everything seems to be falling "back into place" now and I'm back to designing! This cute chunky coral and silver necklace was added to my shop this afternoon! Many of my designs are inspired by nature photos. I find this challenging and relaxing at the same time. Today I finished a very elegant necklace inspired by this photo. The side views show the finished product. I am very happy with the way this piece of jewelry turned out, but that could have something to do with the fact that purple is one of my favorite colors. I think the new owner, whoever it may be, will be very happy with this item!

I am so happy to begin having use of my arm again! I was able to post these adorable double decoupaged earrings in my shop today! Those that are close to me in "real life" know that I absolutely love to recycle or upcycle things. I'm constantly asking for their trash and most of the time they all just chuckle when I beg for it. However, I have great friends and family who don't judge me for this bizarre behavior and often oblige whenever they can. I'm super excited about some the creations I have stored away on my "to do list" but for now we'll start with a magazine I cut up and some small tear shaped Woodsies. Please excuse the delay in getting this blog up and running. I have been diagnosed with an acute rotary cuff tendinitis and things are a bit challenged right now. Typing with one hand is not exactly a great way to be productive. Patience is not one of my virtues either so not being able to design jewelry (or function at all for that matter) is driving me crazy! However, the strong meds do help in that area too. <smile>

However, on the plus side of this injury, I am happy to be able to report that I made two sales today while I sat here with my shoulder on ice! With the help of hubby, the items will be mailed tomorrow so Christmas delivery will be possible!
